SPARK 2018
On December 14 and 15, 140 hackers and over 20 volunteers came together to participate at the Spark Hackathon at the McMaster Innovation Park. This 24-hour event sparked a passion for STEM in participants and encouraged them to innovate and think out of the box to further space exploration. The pitches were incredible and it was inspiring to see students come together and use technology to create something truly out of this world. We can't wait to host this event next year and we're immensely grateful to our team, mentors, sponsors, and participants for making SPARK 2018 so great!

The SPARK Hackathon is by far the best hackathon I’ve been to! I loved the energy everyone had throughout the 24 hours. The challenge was innovative and unique as it encompassed the fundamentals of space exploration, business, and computer science. I also had the opportunity to meet new people that were interested in the STEM field just as I was. It was a priceless experience and I can’t wait to be back next year!

I had the opportunity to compete in the 2018 Spark Hackathon and I have to say kudos to the SPARK team! I was extremely impressed with how organized the event was. The teams were given full creative control, and there were fun activities during the overnight grind. The chill atmosphere gave participants plenty of opportunities to make new friends and expand their network. I loved the event and hope to be back again this year!
